This worked for a while under Feisty and then stopped (see Bug 140023 -
Feisty: Kaffeine used to play ISOs, doesn't anymore).
Kaffeine has a menu option to Open > File Type ISO (from the Drop Down
menu). This was for movies backed up via K9Copy
Based on what I saw on another bug report for Kaffeine, I was able to
get this to work if I moved the file to a path without any spaces in it.
I am not sure if this is a Kubuntu bug or a Kaffeine bug, but the path
cannot have spaces, but it should be allowed to.

Unfortunately the default settings for Kvpnc doesn't seem to want to
connect to a Linksys RV042 firewall which uses Microsoft's PPTP
technology, at least with my current tests. I have spoken on IRC with a
developer and s/he is looking into it...

I am trying to get Kvpnc set up. To test it VPNs, I successfully
connected to a VPN endpoint (Linksys RV042)using the network-manager-
gnome application, which worked very well.
When I dicsonnected the VPN connection, however, my D

hosts. It turns out that it changed my /etc/resolv.conf to a different
nameserver (an IP address on the VPN endpoint side). i had to manually
fix that to point to my local nameserver

Well I have maybe solved the problems:
- Updates again today, including kernel and vmwareplayer kernel module
- my Swap wasn't being utilized at all (herd bug? probably fixed) My swap use
is minimal however, but at least its available now
- VMWare Player was nice=(-10) so vmware was getting a lot

I could be wrong on this, but I thought the point (or, a part of it at
least) of DMA was to bypass the CPU when moving files; last night I copied
200GB of files and it totally ate the CPU during the processes. ext3 to
ext3, both SATA (from SATA2 to SATA1)...

After I recieved errors from Bristol about the audio not working
(/dev/dsp was busy i think?) i closed it. a week later i restarted X
after installing nvidia-glx and when i logged back in the Crash Handeler
came up.

It was a one-time issue; the crash hasn't returned at all.
I did indeed mean that I thought Malone was the *web-based* bug reporting
tool, but its not. I no longer have any idea what Malone is but it probably
doesn't matter to me. Apport doesn't do much in Kubuntu unless its a
Gnome-app that cra

a package install if needed) but FUSE support would be a good start.

I would really like to take advantage of the CDDL-licensed ZFS from Sun
