I had a theory yesterday when I posted this bug and I just verified it.
This crash only occurs when running multiple desktops. I have an NVIDIA
card and have my computer attached to the TV. I run two separate X
screens configured with nvidia-settings. With this setup nautilus
crashes all the time.
Ok, tested with TwinView and it works. So same two screens and same
resolution (1680x1050, 1920x1080) on both configurations - separate X
screens crashes nautilus while TwinView doesn't.
Please let me know if I can provide any more informations.
And btw, I'm a programmer so I don't have any probl

I reinstalled Ubuntu using the RC yesterday and now the clicking sound
has disappeared. My old installation was really old and had been
upgraded through a lot of Ubuntu releases. I guess some upgrade
somewhere did something different than a new installation.

I never found the time to play with the nice patches, but the latest
kernel update/restricted modules update seems to have made a difference.
A bit early to cry success, but it's been on more or less the last 24
hours without a hitch.

Anyway it was just an observation:-).

I'm also trying to run the Chromium snap on Solus, I get the same error.
I don't think the solution to use core 16 is right, due to the old
Chromium version that comes with it.
Is it possible to maintain the core 16 version of Chromium as well?
