After further testing, it turns out that the problem is bigger than I
thought. First, uninstalling compiz and switching the session to GNOME
does not have any effect. I also noticed that the system halts by
logging out, restarting, shutting down, and changing to consoles (Ctrl +
Alt + F1 through F7
As mentioned in the upstream bug report, the sound problem is
intermittent. Mostly, it doesn't work. But even when I do get sound, I
cannot capture and get the same message mentioned by Burt.

I've set $sa_tag_level_deflt = -999 and added the the @local_domain_maps
to /etc/amavis/conf.d/50-user, restarted amavisd and I'm still not

machine was because I didn't have FAM installed. Therefore, I changed
the description to double free or corrupt.

Same problem on Hardy 64-bit with recent updates. To reproduce:
1. Create encrypted folder
2. Mount and unmount it
3. Attempt to mount the volume with the wrong password - will give you an error
message as expected
4. Now try to mount the same folder using correct password - results in crash

Ok, so the problem persist with current Hardy and acpi version 0.09-3ubuntu1.
Further investigation revealed the following.
1. Kernel module asus-laptop recognizes F5N model correctly (from dmesg output:
asus-laptop: F5N model detected)
3. All special keys generate correct ACPI events (from cat

It is screwing my keyboard as well. And yes, complex characters input is
disabled in "Language Support"
I do have support for Russian language checked in because that's what I need.
Not the keyboard support however. X can deal with that way better than
