Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-desktop-environment
Going to System -> Administration -> Users and Groups, then clicking Manage Groups button will bring up a list groups on the system. Clicking any of those groups and clicking the Properties button shows the Group Properties window with a checkable list of Group Members. However, users that are members of the group are not checked, so there is no way to know if a user is currently a member of a group. Putting a check next to a user name, then clicking OK, and bringing up the properties window again shows the user is still unchecked. On a side note, the old way of adding users to groups was much better. In the Users and Groups window, there should be a tab for Users and a tab for Groups. It is, after all, named Users and Groups, so you should be able to edit groups without having to open up another window inside the User editor. The way it is now is very confusing. ** Affects: meta-gnome2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Group Properties Window Doesn't Show Group Members https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/179413 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
