For the records, here is my view of the situation:
it's a compositing bug (at least) in ATI drivers which are not able to
use either an untransformed repeating source pattern with a source in
off-screen video memory, or, a repeated transformed images using a
general transform matrix (or both).

I had to change build-deps from libnspr4-dev to libnspr-dev.
I also had to install libgtkhtml2-dev as liferea refused my

same issue with liferea 1.2.14-0ubuntu1.
I only have mozilla as internal viewer. Could you build gtkhtml2 too next time ?

using a conversion filter, I've removed (commented out) all tags
in this feed, it worked.
Those objects are regular dailymotion application/x-shockwave-flash
stuff.

I think you mean compiz 0.3.6 as compiz 0.3.4 still has the --indrect-
rendering option.
For compiz 0.3.6 this option has been defaulted to you don't need to
pass it when you launch compiz.
If you still have problems with compiz and glx_ext_tfp try to launch compiz
that way:

I have only tested in 32 bits ubuntu, and no I am not using an
anofficial package.
Maybe the problem is on the Intel Core architecture ... Or the bug is
only in 32 bits ubuntu.
I will boot a 64bits live cd and check if it work ...
(I also compiled the last svn of vlc and x264, and cpu extension
tests results (nightly build):
Live CD 32 bits: same problem ...
Live CD 64 bits: Works perfectly !

This regression appeared at the worse time ever, i.e. when almost all the
builders were re-affected to another task, leaving a really long queue of
unbuilt packages behind (queue estimated to ~5 days, still growing).
Once the builders are back, this will return to normal.

as for lkgr, i used to use it, but it was so often broken that i gave up (~
last Sept).
Users of daily builds should expect regressions from time to time.

"xorg" process of the VM goes to 100% (I can get more CPU usage if I enable
many processors), and so does the KVM process. It happens:
- with KVM native display or VNC
- using KVM directly or through libvirt
