[NOTFOUND=return] dns mdns4 wins line in /etc/nsswitch.conf, and I can now
connect by name.

In case it helps, that file's history is pretty straightforward (i.e.
It wasn't downloaded, converted from another version, or imported from
excel). I started it from a blank sheet it in the same version of open
office a couple hours before running into the problem. Nothing unusual
was done to it

change. "Document Print Status" continues to show "processing" and
there is no indication of activity of the printer. I've added an updated

I have a machine with hardware raid which appears to be showing the same
behaviour. I have managed to create a partial workaround by killing a
dbus-daemon process, so I have logged a bug against dbus in case that is

This is definitely reproducible here too. I'm bootstrapping new domUs
and seeing the bug rear it's head in the form shown in Bug #207774. The
patch in this thread completely eliminates the bug here. I have not seen
the oops in weeks of use since applying the patch, creating quite a few
domU's in th
samba in the /etc/init.d directory. I rebooted though, and I still have the

I have a T61p with model number 6460 and nVidia Quadro FX 570M. I'm
running a 32-bit Kubuntu 8.04 (KDE3 version). Latest BIOS updates are
installed.
I reverted all my previous modifications and applied this fix. And now
resuming after suspend to RAM just works :-) I did not (yet?) see the
white sc
quot;Can't display location smb://192.168.0.101/temp", as
clearly when you double click on the icon it does open.
I should not get two icons on the desktop for the same share.
Can you help with this bug?

If I map by IP address, then it works OK. My machine can ping the server
by name, so it's resolving it no problem.
