Public bug reported:

On my Lenovo 3000 V100 laptop, hibernate was working (albeit with some
problems - see bug #211153 and bug #185703), but on APT upgrade to
Intrepid today, hibernate doesn't work at all. The total effect of
selecting the "hibernate" option from the new shutdown dialog is to drop
out to a blank screen and ask for my password, as if I'd asked to lock
the screen. There is a brief pause in between, suggesting that
hibernation is attempted but rapidly abandoned. I've installed the
"hibernate" package, in case its absence was to blame, but to no avail.
My wireless network connection is also broken (and the passphrase
forgotten) when I get back to the desktop.

** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
