Public bug reported: I recently installed bmpx on ubuntu hardy. It loads OK, and I managed to import my songs into the library, but as soon as I pressed play (with a song selected), or double-clicked a song (to play it), it crashes with no error message in the console. bmpx is version 0.40.13-2.
I have run a backtrace as suggested, and it reports: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/Desktop$ gdb bmpx 2>&1 | tee bmpx.log GNU gdb 6.8-debian Copyright (C) 2008 Free Software Foundation, Inc. Type "show copying" and "show warranty" for details. This GDB was configured as "i486-linux-gnu"... (gdb) handle SIG33 pass nostop noprint Signal Stop Print Pass to program Description SIG33 No No Yes Real-time event 33 (gdb) set pagination 0 (gdb) run Starting program: /usr/bin/bmpx [Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled] Program exited normally. (gdb) backtrace full No stack. (gdb) Which seems odd to me. By crashing I mean that the window disappears suddenly for no apparent reason. The process also seems to die: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/Desktop$ ps ax | grep bmpx 24855 pts/2 S+ 0:00 grep bmpx Any help with this appreciated as I really liked the look of bmpx and I'm keen to get it working asap.
