I have an unencrypted boot, an encrypted root, and a separate encrypted
/home partiton.
In Jaunty, on boot, I would be prompted once each for the passwords for

Solved for me now... I ran into some problems with another application
and noticed that I had some directories in my home folder that belonged
to "root". After I had corrected this, my panel applets also started
working again. Perhaps this works for you too.

Arky, actually what Iolair has done is create a debdiff which is more
complete and slightly easier to deal with than a patch as it doesn't
require someone else to write the changelog entry.
