I have the same problem. It causes a rather annoying spike every few
seconds in my CPU usage graph (I use the ksysguard taskbar tool). It
seems that one of the apt-index-watch processes runs normally and
another one launches and dies every few seconds.

but i've got to manually put my locale at system preferences.
please note that by default the locale option is empty, i must select my

This script provides a workaround (warning! hackish - I should randomly
generate the /tmp filename).
It works by starting gnome-keyring-daemon, setting environmental
variables according to it's output and then invoking evo.

I am getting an unable to discover PADS. and then a timeout on pppoe.
It was working before the restart but not after. I was able to
reinstall the program again and I have access but after the restart I do
not have internet access. This is a pain.

I am having the same problem with edgy. When I use pon dsl-provider it
just times out. It can not do the PADS discovery. I can not do the
pppoeconf again because it does not find my connection. I can use my
modem just fine in OS 10.4.8 though so I know this is a problem with
linux only.

By virtual trash I mean the trash folder that appears in my imap account
when it is displayed in Evolution, but does not exist on the server (as
opposed to my real imap trash folder, which is where I would like the
trash to be stored). Messages deleted in Evolution will appear to be

Do you have an existing ~/.bluefish directory? If you don't, and this
is a new install, can you try as a workaround opening a file (any file)
first, then trying to save a new document. If this workaround works,

Just confirming this. I don't know if this will be passed upstream or if
others will even consider this a bug, but it does seem inconsistent
that, say, the Wikipedia handler will pass the entire query, while the
dictionary will not. Although words with whitespace aren't all that
common, they exist.

I just realized how stupid that sounds. What I'm trying to say is,
dictionary queries that include whitespace aren't all that common as
dictionaries usually contain single-word "terms". Yet some valid terms,
like "Et Cetera," in a dictionary do contain whitespace.

2. The other bug says that amarok can't play other (non-flac) audio files after

This bug affects all packages that use dh_installxfonts and not just
gsfonts-x11. The reason why it doesn't show in Debian is because there
was never a version of update-fonts-dir that does not understand the
--x11--r7-layout option.
The best solution would be, as suggested by Roland, a versioned
please reopen if it happens in edgy :) As I said in dapper it won't be
fixed ad xffm is unsupported.

Nope, nothing gets written to the status bar. Evolution effectively reacts
assif it has stopped responding. So the frontend doesn't do anything.

bluez-firmware_1.2-1_all.deb puts the driver in /usr/lib/firmware/
rather than /lib/firmware/. When I create a symlink the driver loads.
