Just upgraded to 2.6.28-15 on my HP dv5 and lost sound on speakers, headphones work but with diminished amplification. Doesn't matter if I use alsa, pulse, oss. Boot in with 2.6.27-11 sound is fine. Haven't tried other variants between the two so can't say when they lost it. Suggest staying with
