I did find that if I disconnect my card reader all of the usb errors
went away. But I still had the ACPI error and the constant beeping.
Please note I did not get any usb errors under the 6.06 draper release
so it is something to do with the 6.10 edgy release.
For more info on my card reader it is
I'll be honest I'm a little new at Linux so I'm not sure. It's whatever
comes with edgy. I have not made any changes, just trying to install the
distro that I downloaded from ubuntu.com

Public bug reported:
Draper64 works great but durring a clean install of edgy64 or doing an
upgrade from draper64 to edgy64 I get errors so there is a differance
between the 2 that is causing these errors. I have the following system
specs:
Motherboard: MSI K8N NEO SLI
CPU: AMD Athlon 64, 2200 MH

# 0 = don't start, 1 = start
AVAHI_DAEMON_START=1
Thats why /etc/init.d/avahi-daemon does nothing. You probably have it
set to 0. But I agree, if its upgrading from the dapper version, it
should default to on or at least warn the user.

Basically the madwifi-ng driver returns something that vmware doesn't
like. This is current edgy. I'll link in a bug report that has a

This crash only occurs when the file chooser is used. If you can avoid
the file chooser, gnucash works fine. Unfortunately, its kinda hard to
avoid it. I'm going to try getting a back trace in the same way as the
guy above.

As another tidbit, I tried 2.0.1 on both edgy and on dapper. Dapper
worked, edgy did not. I have a feeling that gnucash may not be aware of
some change in the edgy libraries.

Aparently gnucash doesn't like being run by gdb. It crashes right out
of the box. But, running it regular like, I get the crash dialogue with
a little bit more info. Ive attached both.
