I got a little busy due to class and such and just had a chance to test things out on the newer kernel. I booted into -13 and it doesn't have the problem. I also booted into -12. It no longer has the problem. I'm not entirely sure why things disappeared. When I first filed the bug I rebooted half a dozen times to make sure that the only difference was the kernel.
