It's still crashing with digikam_1.0.0-1ubuntu1~karmic1+ppa1_i386.deb.
Tried as above - even cleaning configuration and databases didn't help.
I've tried 7 times but I didn't get it to run without crash. At 7-th
time it completed database creation but crashed at loading.
Logs:
Btw. in kubuntu-ppa/beta there's still missing new kipi-plugins 1.0
package and stable digiKam 1.0 (my report is about 1.0.0~rc-
1ubuntu1~karmic3 package in that repository).

After that I've tried for the second time cleaning digKam configuration and

and then it worked - I could navigate, open photos, even download photos from

Then I've closed digiKam and tried to open it

I experience the same behaviour with digiKam with KDE SC 4.4 Beta 2 from
Kubuntu PPA Backports Beta repository. First, I've tried it on my old

digiKam configs in ~/.kde directory so the digiKam configuration wizzard

@Andres Monroy-Hernandez,
So how to explain that the same audacity binaries work without problems on
Jaunty?
I assume that there's bug somewere else and audacity just showed it up ( but I
can be wrong ;-) ).
What's yours hardware?
Could you try to backtrace the problem, too?

I've tried to do X backtrace with guide from
