required to get to run some Xerox apps. It has, for the most part, served
us well, but I have no experience with an NT server. Still, it seems like
they've just reinvented the Unix wheel--and added an easy-to-use GUI. Go
ahead and stomp on me for that last sentence, but

question is, what is "stepping" and do I want it high or low? I also have
bogomips of 35.94. Is that "good" or "bad"--or does it matter?

out the man pages for both tar and gzip--just type "man tar"

same results if you take the file to a copy store--they'll probably even
bind it for you (we have Kinko's et al. here in the 'States). It
*is* a very long doc (273 pages), so I would encourage you to find a
duplexer somewhere!
