No Kerberos. Cyrus is just a local account on the IMAP server.

Actually, Tom (twk) had a very helpful response.
I was leavin goff the "user." in the reconstruct
command, as in:
reconstruct -r user.esanborn
I never saw this in the documentation.

hefty mailbox (100 messages) should it
normally take some time? Obviously system dependant, I'm just looking
for other's experience with the command as there doesn't seem to
be any status output as to what the command did.

If I restore an old message and plop it into this directory it does
not seem to appear in my IMAP client. Do I need to do a reconstruct
or something like that to get the cyrus. files to sync-up?

Thanks. How do I determine for sure what my server is using?
Is there a command I can run to tell me whether or not

No. I am using Outlook 2000 not Outlook Express.
Also I am not using any certificates on the clients
that I am aware of...
Any other ideas from anyone?

Is there anything I need to do to the Cyrus mail server?

I fixed my problem. I ended up copy'ing the "Deleted Items"
and "Sent Items" folders from another user's mailbox directory into the
mailbox directory of the user that was having the problem.
Everything is working fine now...

Any idea where the IMAP Root Cirectory is set in

;t a "Deleted Items" folder at all. There is
a "Sent Items" folder but no cyrus.xxx files.
Other folks that are using Outlook have these
directories with the appropriate cyrus.xxx files
and are working fine. What could have happened?
How can I fix this for this user?

Apparently not in my case. My mail server only has some admin
accounts not all of our user accounts. No NIS or NIS+ either.
I'm thinking that the only way it knows of "esanborn" is via

and then remove userx via cyradm, right? What is the syntax? Is it:
cyradm -u cyrus mailservername ?
deletemailbox userx
Don't I need to specify imap or something on the cyradm command?
The man page for cyradm is lacking a few examples which would
help a newbie such as my

sasl password so that he can't retrieve email. Now I want
to have reception stopped so that messages stop queuing up.
Any help would be appreciated.
