popup, exebuf, winlist and modules popups (like tclock) any more?

huge thanks for the explanations. but beg your pardon for my stupidity
i'm still don't understand the reason why things stoped recently to
work as they used to? is it because they worked quite well but "wrong"
some time ago and now they

imho they/(each CONTENT) should fit into the "container" area despite
on "Appearance" settings. and now we've got "containers" like iBar,
iBox and systray.
brds.
P.S. "liirk" also broken (undefinite symbol: evas
d (yep, i do have up to 40-50 launchers and i do
like to scroll'em all instead of asking about stupid "group similar"
etc.).
the rest are mostly enhancements:

suppose that OBS (OpenSUSE Build System) have all required packages to
begin with.

please update your E to the current svn. E-svn-r37539 works nice here.

could you please report your versions of 'dbus' and 'hal' packages?
'places' show nothing for openSUSE-11.0. is there some special
requirements except hal+d
case this is
the gnome-settings-daemon. xorg itself is pretty straight forward for
such tricks, but who knows... i didn't dig it much cause E provides all i
need.

I can't check but if the command 'setxkbmap' exist and works - why not?
There's a limitation however. No more than four layouts could be
specifies at once AFAIK (for a single command). A simple wrapper using
E's (both E16 or E17) keyboard shortcuts easily solve the case.
E17 has nothing to do with the sound subsystem. Though you can check the
'mixer' module settings, delete the old 'echo' module and check other
stuff (may be some weird scripts of your distro) which could do this trick.
the most simple trick here is set your sound with 'alsaconf &&
alsamixer' then
p_led:scroll -variant
winkeys
that's it. LED kbd indicator is your 'flag', Ctl+Shift -> toggles
layouts.

here comes another suggestion: let's revise E-wiki/E-site and update the
actual information about the current distribution channels of E. the
information is heavily outdated or absent.

7. Direct-FB engine is disabled by default for E17.
8. You're aware now whom to ping if something goes wrong (or even if you
think so) :).
Hope that you like it!
