I tried installing the latest mozilla-snapshot builds on my unstable
debian system, but mozilla-mail doesn't work anymore. The packages
install without a problem and I can run mozilla, but if I try to run

I just upgrade from XFree-3.3.6 to XFree-4.1.0 on my potato system and I
seem to have lost screen resolutions. I used to run at 1280x1024
(apparantly interlaced according to my 3.3.6 config file), but I can't
get XFree4 to go any higher than 1024x768 no matter what I have tried.

gaim supports proxies (atleast the newest version does), but it's a bit

I am using kernel 2.4.1, and my sound card is detected by plug and play,
yet it doesn't get configured correctly. I still have to load the
modules with parameters to get sound. Here's the message I get at boot

How do you setup plugins to work with mozilla? I use the nightly

them. However, the help applications aren't listed like they are in

plugin. I'm not sure

Anyone know if there is a deb of esoundd 0.2.4 or higher for potato? I
was surprised to see 0.2.22 (I believe it is) in unstable. Is there a
reason it's so far behind? According to the esound site, the latest
stable version is 0.2.8. Thanks.

What do you mean "added the burner to the SCSI bus later"? You can't do
that, can you? I mean, it has to be connected and on in order to be
detected and used, doesn't it? The SCSI bus should be terminated
correctly. the 50-pin connector is terminated by the DVD drive, and the
