I checked the howto and this drive is supported (actually, the newest howto on the web has this drive listed as supported by cdrecord. It's a Yamaha CRW6416S. I'm running potato with the 2.2.13 kernel and Adaptec 2940UW SCSI controller. The errors I get from xcdroast and cdrecord are like this:

I have burned CDs before though. The fact that this consistently bombs out in different places in the write has me kinda confused.
