A small beginners minihowto about various linux programs is made:
Among others: kmail, bittorrent, ksirc, gimp, gparted, scrapbook, freenet,
kde-setup, kubuntu install and some others.
The idea is to get newbies started using linux immediately, with the most
elementary things.

I am using debian etch (testing) and mixmaster 3.0b2-3
When sending mails with mixmaster, the mails never reach their destination
mail address.
I first run mixmaster-update --verbose, and then mixmaster.
Everything looks perfect, and the mails seem to be sent.
I have even tried sending from de

Keep pressing the Spacebar makes you read all the post in all the folders

I had the same problem, where a mcop directory couldn't be created. I don't
mind to have a kde (partly?) hanging around though.
How I fixed it was:
`rm -rf ~/.kde ; kde-menu`
The later command recreated my ~/.kde directory and fixed my broken
~/.kde/tmp-${USER} symlink and added a~/.kde/sock
outer (D-link
DI-524), the installer suggested opasia.dk, my ISP provider,
which I (in my ignorance) accepted.
Is this possible without cutting my internet connection ?

dont think it is Sylpheed-claws because the 2.6.0 editon should be
stable and the mailprogram itself works without any complaints at all.
So my guess is, that it has something to do with GTK.
But what ? And how can I change this so these errors doesn't come up ?

cannot print. When I have finished scanning and stopped the hpoj daemon,
I also need to restart the printer before I can print. It also works if
I disconnect an reconnect the USB cable.
Do you know a way to do this with software, so I can script the whole
process?

PS: At the moment my alsa, and bootlogd do not work. Furthermore I
cannot use any xfree-xserver with a higher that is newer than the one
from stable. But all these problems are probably unrelated to the
kernel messages, and rather a sign that I have messed up

Do any of the files in /var/log directory mention the attempt to
include ALSA. What do they tell you?

However I believe that Galeon works nicely together with sylpheed and
evolution. (I am writing this post using xemacs/GNUS and SSH, so there
is no hope for me :)

Some of the preferences are still missing, but I don't really miss
them.
I conclusion I would say that 1.3.11a is a better browser than
1.25. Galeon has become a power browser again :)
