I run potato on my laptop, work machine, and home machine / server. There are
still minor problems from day to day however. Today base-files and libreadline
conflict.

(loadlin) worked for me. No crashes on hard loads (8 hours of
continuous kernel copilation + gzip/gunzip of 0.5Gb file + data
