Version: 5:47
Severity: normal
After installing kde-core, KControl is empty. The modules turned out to
be in the Lost & Found section of the main menu, but scattered among
dozens of other lost items. Without KControl, KDE is large unusable for
me.

Package: kig
Version: 4:3.5.7-1+b1
Severity: normal
When I try to read the attached file, written out with the same version
of kig, I get the following error message
An error was encountered at line 473 in file
/build/buildd/kdeedu-3.5.7/./kig/filters/native-filter.cc.
the file is not read in
I think I saw this bug occasionally during testing of KAlarm. The KDE
3.5.7 version of KAlarm added a check for negative numbers and prevents
them being displayed as large positive numbers. So from KDE 3.5.7 onwards,
this bug should never happen any more.

This has now been fixed in KDE SVN (revision 732115). Please ensure that the
Debian package is updated with that fix.

Package: konqueror
Version: 4:3.5.7.dfsg.1-1
Severity: important
I run konqueror from apt-listchanges, which means it's running as root on
when I'm running an X session as prosfilaes. When I do so, it spits out
a bunch of errors:
Error: "/var/tmp/kdecache-prosfilaes" is owned by uid 1000 instead
Package: krita
Version: 1:1.6.3-3
Severity: normal
Today I tried to pull up a 145M png file in krita, and it just hung in
state D. Eventually I noticed /tmp (set to the etch installer default
of about 400M) was full. So I killed krita. Since krita did not clean up
after itself, the system was
ng the bug.
Thank you for your help. I respond to your questions below but this is likely
not worth pursuing and I suggest closing the bug. Perhaps the other person who
reported the same effect could comment.
Best,
David
1 Have you done anything special to your installation like installing
e Debian Testing and
Unstable environments. Why not upgrade to the current product, at least in
unstable -- if not in testing?
Thanks for helping create the various meta-packages!

The kmrml package makes ldconfig crash -- here's a strace:

Package: konqueror
Version: 4:3.1.5-1
Severity: normal
I would open a directory in konqueror and mouseover a .xvid file, and get a
crash every time.
I then added *.xvid as an *.mpeg file in the file associations, and everything
works.

Thanks to Chris for fixing the pid file and init.d script problems! That's
been a (minor) drag for ages.
However, now lisa doesn't work at bootup. No error message in dmesg, I see it's
running, /var/log/lisa.pid is created, and konqueror doesn't
