Thanks to Chris for fixing the pid file and init.d script problems! That's been a (minor) drag for ages. However, now lisa doesn't work at bootup. No error message in dmesg, I see it's running, /var/log/lisa.pid is created, and konqueror doesn't give an error message (as it does if lisa is not running) -- but lan://localhost shows nothing. Running /etc/init.d/lisa restart fixes the problem. Incidentally, konqueror's directory pane doesn't refresh properly when lisa starts and stops.
