Hello, By default it seems Akonadi server is configured to use mysql. However, by default, it installs the SQLITE backend instead of MySQL. In order to get Akonadi working which is required for KMAIL to work, you need to manually edit config files to change the configuration of Akonadi from mysql to SQLITE.
