I'm waiting for the new gnustep upstream tarball release
to enter sid, and that'll be the moment these will also
be fixed (partly also with new upstream versions of the
software).
That'll also fix the libfreetype FTC problem that currently
exists in sid.

the FAILSAFE kernel, and can vonfirm there is an issue. I attach patch

I don't think that your patch is correct. There are asm files for some
of the architecture. The change is, that they do not reside anymore in
the asm/ directory.

for the faulty behaviour of bash "test -e" I added a workaround for
udev without having to install /bin/dash.
The bug is only present when HAVE_DEV_STDIN is not defined, which is
