Package: postgresql-8.0
Version: 8.0.3-15
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

The install process generates:

Setting up postgresql-8.0 (8.0.3-15) ...
Starting PostgreSQL 8.0 database server: mainpg_controldata: could not
open file "/var/lib/postgresql/8.0/main/global/pg_control" for reading:
No such file or directory
Error: Could not parse locale out of pg_controldata output
 failed!

and /var/lib/postgresql/8.0/main is empty
It installs fine on the i386 platform.

I strongly assume that this is a consequence of the Bus errors
postgresql suffers when built with 4.0 on sparc. Please use the
current sid packages, they should work fine, but need some time until
they are promoted to testing.

Thanks,

Martin
