Hi!
Well, the feature is implemented, what makes you think it is missing?
Please try "pkcon install-local ".
Are you sure your PackageKit version is up-to-date? Are you using the
aptcc backend?

Hi!
The symbols file is touched only with pkgkde-symbolshelper, nothing
else has ever been used.
Also, I recently downloaded all build-logs using the tool and updated
the changelog, so Hurd should be fine (there have been changes for
Hurd)
It's weird that it doesn't seem to work...
I'll apply the p
Hi!
Thank you for this excellent bug report, I think this will be fixed soon :)
Cheers,
Matthias
P.S: We had this problem before... Hope this time it can be fixed completely.

Hi again!
It looks like you have problems with your DBus setup... Is DBus
working properly on your machine?
I have a patch which might catch this error (and quit pkd correctly) -
do you have this issue with the current Git version of PK too?

Matthias

Hi!
Apper uses PolicyKit for authentication. Is PolicyKit correctly set up
on your system (meaning all olther PolKit apps work)? Are you able to
authenticate when using the command-line tool, e.g. by doing "pkcon
install amor"?

Do you have a dialog frontend for PolKit installed? Meaning in this
case, is the package "polkit-kde-1" installed?

lost of alpm changes:
The alpm backend is also not shipped in Debian, so you can ignore all
changes affecting this backend (in backends/alpm) too.
All changes affecting global or Debian-related code are mentioned above.
Hope this helps :-)

Hi!
Hmm, these issues seem to be completely unrelated... Do you get
updates shown if you run
"pkcon get-updates"?

Hi!
Thank you for this report, the issue has already been fixed upstream
and IÄm waiting for a new bugfix release of PK, which will also solve
some other issues, so we can include this in Wheezy.

Hi!
This is a problem with Aptitude, since it writes it's own file to
manage package locks and does not use the usual Apt mechanism. If you
want to lock a package, use

Hi!
Thank you for the help!
I included the patch in the GPK Git repo and will upload a new package
to unstable probably tomorrow or on Monday, so no need for a NMU :-)

Hi!
Is this issue still valid? Do you have the most recent version of
PackageKit (avaiable in the Debian archives) installed?
This issue should not happen (and I wasn't able to reproduce it here,
so it is probably already gone...)

Matthias

Hi!
What is the progress on this bug? The issue is highly annoying, and it
would be great if it could be fixed soon. The patch from the wiki page
would have to be applied, and the default buildd sample config would
need some adjustments for this to work.

Matthias
