The issue was caused by the previously broken Apper plugin taking down kded. Apper was broken due to another bug in an unrelated package, which prevented it from being rebuilt against a newer libappstream in time. (Next time, I will tighten the dependencies/lib-versioning, so this doesn't happen again) Cheers, Matthias
