I'm CCing this to Troy Korjuslommi who has been dealing with the new
fi(kotoistus) keyboard for long time and been contact with the X.org
upstream.
Hi Troy, the following bug was reported to Debian bug tracking system by
Martin-Éric Racine:

The debian/rules shipped with the vim package executes 'quilt' command

set QUILT_PATCHES variable to a non-default value. These may cause the
vim package to not bui

Yes. This is really a regression caused by the recent "libexiv2-0.10"
upgrade 0.10-1.4 > 0.10-1.5. This affects at least Konqueror and
Gwenview when displaying (some) images. I can reproduce this anytime:
with certain jpeg images and with libexiv version 0.10-1.5, Konqueror
and Gwenview crash e

This sounds good idea. Yes, maybe the best would be to save the current
byte-counting method and add separate character-counting method.

Aptitude's interactive mode does not show kde-desktop task. I think it
should. There are only three end-user tasks: Desktop environment, Gnome
desktop environment and Laptop. I have installed Debian Etch from the
net install CD.

The archivemail package's description doesn't tell that the tool is also
capable of just deleting old mail. I was looking for such a deleting

I agree that this bug should be fixed on stable. It's annoying. We know
the policy but maybe we don't remember the idea behind it? Here's my
interpretation: allowing only fixes for security holes and severe bugs
is to keep Debian stable as stable as possible. I think this is the main
point. Fixing

In Unix/Linux shells the Ascii apostrophe (') is used as single
quotation mark. The grave accent (`) is used as command substitution
mark. In many man pages these are displayed wrong because they have
different meaning in groff code.

I made a patch which can be applied to the Debian package. With the
patch quotation marks display correctly in both Ascii and Unicode
output devices.
This is what it does the the bash.1 file:

I forgot to add default-xim alternative for bogus locale all_ALL. It is
needed for setting default-xim as system wide IM config file. Patch

It would be nice to have general IM config file which sets X Input

with many languages. Patch is attached to this message.
