Package: wicd Severity: minor Wicd seems to run _all_ executable files in /etc/wicd/scripts/*/ directories, even backup files with ~ suffix. This can be seen as a bug or at least it is very much unexpected feature. System administrator may leave backup files all over the place because of her text editor and hence cause Wicd to execute two versions of some scripts.
Generally in Debian such scripts are run with run-parts program which allows very limited characters to exist in file names. Run-parts doesn't run backup files with ~ suffix. I wonder if it is possible to use run-parts with Debian's wicd (?). -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=fi_FI.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fi_FI.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
