I agree that this bug should be fixed on stable. It's annoying. We know
the policy but maybe we don't remember the idea behind it? Here's my
interpretation: allowing only fixes for security holes and severe bugs
is to keep Debian stable as stable as possible. I think this is the main
point. Fixing a man page has no effect on Etch's stableness so in my
thinking it's not violating any policy. I think Debian folks shouldn't
just read the letters but also the spirit of the policy.

Thanks anyway! Aptitude is a great tool and for me Etch has been really
realiable working partner for about year now.
