Just to drop a note to Sjoerd Simons, the maintainer of the hal debian
package, which provides both the symlink
/etc/udev/rules.d/050_hal-plugdev.rules and the pointed buggy
/etc/udev/hal.rules.
Thanks

Please ask if you need more info: as you can see I can't do much by

Kel,
after the last headers' update I was able to build the spca5xx binary
package flawlessly: the problem I experienced was probably related to
the bug #358580, which has been fixed in
linux-headers-2.6.16-1-686/2.6.16-5.
Thank you again - Mau

hmmm... that were the full log from my /var/cache/modass/ directory.
I'll try to get a more useful output.

I really wonder if I missed some doc, or if DVD-RW media are still not
usable with pktcdvd, or if simply there is some bug in udftools which
prevents such operations.
Thanks

Package: spca5xx-source
Version: 20060301-1
Severity: important
m-a build fails silently and complains that it can't find spca5xx.ko,
which actually hasn't been built.
All needed headers' packages has been installed.

Sorry for the mistake... this is what I wanted to say:
As you can see I have linux-headers-2.6.15-1, linux-headers-2.6.15-686,
linux-headers-2.6.15-686-smp, linux-headers-2.6.16-1 and
linux-headers-2.6.16-686-smp installed.
./linux-headers-2.6.16-1/include/linux/version.h seems missing.

Justification: renders package unusable
probably a bug in this package - module-assistant says 'Warning,
/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.16-1 seems to contain unconfigured kernel source!'
