The root cause is that /etc/X11/sawfish/site-init.d/00debian.jl is

Same here, on HP/Compaq ProLiant hardware, on both AMD and Intel chipsets.
Multiboot Memtest86+ 2.01 and 4.10 misdetect memory size and yields an endless
stream of errors. Using the "linux16" boot method from GRUB2 works.

My guess is that the Debian build setup modified something in the Xpdf
source code (maybe xpdf/Error.cc?) which is breaking the error
reporting. I'm not sure who's in charge of the Xpdf Debian package, but
hopefully this message will reach them.

Xpdf 3.03 changed the font configuration syntax around -- that may be
what you're running into. Look at the "Upgrading from Xpdf 3.02"

different name for that version
of Xpdf -- so that bug reports get sent to the right place. I don't
mind getting bug reports for the code I've written, but I can't be of
much help with bugs in Poppler.

suitable MIME type associated with it.

Uninstalled, purged, reinstalled. Same effect.
Reverting to 3.0.22-1, and everything is fine.
This is on a Debian Sarge machine, which I have no wish or plans to

instead of v4l2 it will detect the device correctly and work. However
v4l2 does not work and it does give an error.. Could it be that it's
tyring to append the channel to the device number (ie, /dev/video00)?
