I can't post a more detailed traceback atm, but in the Surface::bltTrans
method, the source pointer was invalid (probably some stupid pointer
manipulation). dest pointer looked fine.

and can no longer reproduce the bug. I'm not sure if something changed
in 3.0.11 or if (more likely) doing the dist-upgrade resolved the

Thank you for your bug report.
While this shortcoming makes libmedc-dev not usable without
libhdf5-mpi-dev, at the same time, it does not prevent one from using
it. As you pointed out, one can simply install libhdf5-mpi-dev and the
package becomes fully usable.
