I think this is basically a dup of bug 109846. A missing
ChallengeResponseAuthentication defaults to "yes", which causes a bypass of
the PasswordAuthentication setting.

in the file "configure.in". Update the version for gtkdatabox >=

Short of developing a magic wand to fix whatever it is libtool is doing
