Good Morning all,
If we're going down the stockfish route, would it be worth implementing
automatic update/upgrade of the engine?
I believe that for the non "techy" it would be a good benefit. Combine that
with automatic tablebase install/download it would make scid a lot more
appealing.

Guys/Gals,
Please note that I am now compiling all the ideas people are submitting in this
forum.
Hopefully when the management comes back with directions, I'll be able to
provide the users desires and wishes.
In the meantime, fire away, any ideas, all ideas, silly ideas... I'll compile

Good Morning All,
Since we now know that the main parties involved are talking, I suggest we
leave them to it and await.
How about we turn this into a more productive conversation like...
What features do we as users like to see in the scid/scidvspc?
Personally and I'd like to see (if it isn't
Guys,
Can I make one last ditch attempt to organize a conference call/IRC session,
anything where we can have a forum of open discussion between the main parties?
Again, I don't mind organizing it.

Guys,
I feel we're digressing again.
Lets keep the focus on the main thing: (my quote but this how I feel about the

Good Morning All,
I'd like to contribute if I may. Thus far from what I've seen on the various
threads everyone is in favour of the merge (yes there are some "challenges",
but overall).
What I sense is a lacking in actual project management. (btw I might be wrong

Good Afternoon All,
Like the previous poster I've been following the discussion and I'd like to put
my 10p in.
Obviously not from a programming point of view but from a project management
POV (that's more my niche).
Why don't the main developers setup a conference call/skype call/etc, with an

Hi All,
Recently I've been extensively using the correspondence side of scid and
I found some shortfalls, not that I'm complaining, in actual fact I'm in
no way tempted to go to any other tools, although I have to use ECTool
for a few of my games... (IECC doesn't use Xfcc...)
Now...

But that'll only work on a game by game basis, so if you want to merge a
whole database you'd have to select each game individually and go
through that process every time...
So I'm guessing there's no other way?

Hi Folks,
Recently I've restart my chess training, in CB there is a function whereby you
can select all games in a given database and basically create a game with all
the variants within that given database.
I don't know you if you guys know what I'm talking about, if you still don't
