Good Afternoon All, Like the previous poster I've been following the discussion and I'd like to put my 10p in.
Obviously not from a programming point of view but from a project management POV (that's more my niche). Why don't the main developers setup a conference call/skype call/etc, with an agenda in mind and discuss the various ideas/issues/proposals/mergers/etc? In my experience sometimes open source projects get astray due to lack of communication and "heading" more then lack of commitment and man power. IMO scid & scidvspc have the capability of becoming an open source proponent to Chess Base, which managed right can supersede it with enough support from the community. Let's not forget one very important example in this digital chess world of ours, Stockfish!
