[Bug 255555] [NEW] Cannot switch to an existing guest session
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdm-guest-session I was reading the Blueprint for a guest account and then realized I could check it out through the fast user switch applet. Everything worked and I could get back to my main account. However, I couldn't get back to the Guest session afterwards. [Bug 219955] Re: BETA 8.04 fail to install broadcom driver (fwcutter) from synaptic pack manager
The b43-fwcutter package in Ubuntu does not actually contain the driver/firmware for the wireless card, because Broadcom will not allow Ubuntu to do so. Likewise, capplets-data failed to install because "scrollkeeper" failed to install. Thus the original problem is with scrollkeeper. Here is another bug report with more information: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-control-center/+bug/216789 A fix has been incorporated upsteam and will be included in the next updates for scrollkeeper. [Bug 215490] Re: objects doesn't remember transparent level across sessions
Of course, the instant I hit submit I found what I was looking for. Adel, as a workaround please try installing compizconfig-settings-manager. Under general options, click the Opacity Settings tab (it's off to the right.) In the section labelled Window Opacities, add a new rule using New. Then you can set which applications (such as gnome-panel) that you want transparent, and how much. I think this will save across sessions, although if you change the transparency later with the mouse wheel it will not. -- objects doesn't remember transparent level across sessions https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/215490 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
