[Bug 911591] Re: gnome-shell crashes when resizing OpenGL window
@James Please, dont revive a deadly report, its useless and spamming the report with different data. That is not the best way to catch dev attention. As you can see, that report have not got a single dev question or answer; do you mind why ? If you still have that problem, then confirm it still exist on a fresh recent install (not on a system that got many dist-upgrades, and polluted with old borked settings. As you are using a nvidia driver, either follow the #8 link's comment about adding nvidia parameters in such a case, or confirm when using 'nouveau' instead. In both cases, install the dev packages to get a usefull report using ubuntu-bug. ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/911591 Title: gnome-shell crashes when resizing OpenGL window To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/911591/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1689825] Re: gnome-keyring not unlocked on xenial when dbus-user-session is installed
Any update on this issue? I do not feel comfortable removing dbus-user- session as a workaround, and I have simply added --password-store=basic as an argument for Chromium/Chrome for now. However that is not completely suitable even though I only use Chromium/Chrome as a secondary browser, and I am wondering if this issue is still being looked into, and am inquiring for perhaps more details about it if anyone has any more details like if the maintainers/developers of dbus- user-session (whoever they may be?) are aware of this bug, etc. I am using Ubuntu 16.04 and Xfce 4.12 and the latest google-chrome-stable, chromium-browser, dbus-user-session, etc. I see someone has stated back in August that using Ubuntu 17.10 with Gnome shell and gdm still produces this issue, I wonder if this is still the case or if this issue has been fixed by now at least on Ubuntu 17.10? Also, on a side-note, does anyone know the exact details of what the password-store argument does? For example, if I turn password saving in Chromium off and don't use Google/Chrome sync, am I "safe" to log into websites without my passwords being stored in plain-text on my hard drive (even if temporary)? I may end up looking into Kwallet to see if this is a suitable alternative to GNOME keyring at least for Chromium. [Bug 1734542] Re: Get cpu throttling with vanilla kernels, but not with ubuntu kernels.

[Bug 1734147] Re: Ubuntu 17.10 corrupting BIOS - many LENOVO laptops models
Since people don't care to read whole discussion I'm going to repeat myself here every few posts. It is not caused by Ubuntu 17.10 It is general Linux issue (I was Antergos user when it hit me) Solution is to physically replace NVRAM chip and reflash it with the content from the old one. Workaround - use rEFInd as I've posted the step-by-step guide at Lenovo site. [Bug 1735833] Re: Please sync gparted 0.38.0-3 from debian unstable
My understanding is that the Ubuntu Security team does not want gparted's --enable-xhost-root option. I think that option is inappropriate for Debian too, but I had not filed the bug there yet. Also, I have some changes from LP: #1709140 that are useful. For instance, you should be able to run some of the build tests. I guess I didn't get around to uploading my work yet because of the googletest issue and autopkgtest issue, but neither of those are really blockers. The appropriate team to subscribe is ~ubuntu-sponsors not ~ubuntu- archive. I encourage you to use requestsync from ubuntu-dev-tools to help file the bug next time. But in this case, Ubuntu would need a merge, not a sync because of my first point. [Bug 1735913] [NEW] nvidia-384 384.90-0ubuntu3.17.10.1: nvidia-384 kernel module failed to build
Public bug reported: **NEW COMPUTER BUILD** I had been experiencing buggy graphics behavior, and installing a driver from the additional drivers tab of the software and updates window helped, but did not completely fix the problem. So I went to the nvidia website and installed their newest driver which I believe is a bit newer than yours. (384.98) for some reason the install process was super slow, so i left it running over night. In the morning the system was completely locked up. Upon reboot, the buggy behavior was gone. I went poking around in the software and updates again, and this error popped up. additional drivers still shows 384.98 selected, so i think there might be an issue there. [Bug 1735917] [NEW] Switching workspaces via bash with zenity prompt causes budgie-wm segmentation fault
Public bug reported: Ubuntu Release: 17.04 with Budgie-Remix installed Zenity Version: 3.24.0-0ubuntu1 Wmctrl Version: 1.07-7 When using wmctrl or zenity separately, they both work fine. [Bug 1735930] [NEW] Bug in /usr/share/mysql/mysql-systemd-start script
Public bug reported: Bug in script; does not properly print error message or exit with correct exit code when mysqld server is not running when executed with "post" argument. expected behavior: when script is called with argument "post", exit with correct exit code and print error message when mysqld is not running actual behavior: execution drops off end of script with exit code of 0 and no message printed reason: script is using test builtin ('[') and doing a string comparison (obvious from diff) rather than executing the 'false' builtin. release: Description:Ubuntu 17.10 Release:17.10 NOTE: launchpad says: "mysql-server-5.7" does not exist in Ubuntu.
