Let's concede that point for argument's sake.  How does that relate to
Bruno suggestions?  It simply does not.

So Alex' concern quoted above is just another way to mention his old
beef against docking mode. Yes, changing the GUI could lead to worse.
We can generalize this argument to prove that conservatism is the way
to go, as David Stove did a while ago.

But how exactly the eight suggestions from Bruno can lead to worse
GUI?  I simply fail to see.

PS:  Personnaly, I put the Gamelist window under my chessboard, in the
same dock as the chessboard.  That way, I can see the entire width of
the window.  So I would venture to say that, by default, there are at
least two kinds of windows : the little ones and the big ones.  The
big ones should go under the big windows already opened, the little
ones around the big ones.
