sorry for bringing up a topic that was recently discussed and apparently
should already have be understood. But I did not get any clue.
My naked question: Ho do I set up Crafty (and phalanx) to play against?
Since crafty and phalanx are not UCI machines, it seems, the answer is
polyglot. Isn't it? But I could not start any action with explanation that
Alexander Wagner gave. My problem is that the example is given with Toga,
which is already a UCI machine, as Fruit is, and I think, it would not need
any "translation" through polyglot. Besides, the polyglot page says that
"PolyGlot is a 'UCI adapter'. It connects a UCI chess engine to an xboard
interface'. *
