Hi,

Thanks to everyone that helped. We finally got it working after downloading
the rpm's and thne installing them and running chkconfig.

Sorry about not trimming the messages -- will do better next time :0)

Also I did have some other people helping me with this, but the were Solaris
people not Linux people.

An I also have a stack of Linux books not one of which mentions rpmfind.net
or how to install rpm's at least I can't find any info in them in the
contents or index.

Thanks again for everyones help

Do things manually first, then later read the documentation for wu-ftpd
(note the "d" at the end). For example:

# wget
# rpm -Uvh wu-ftpd* anon-ftp*
# chkconfig wu-ftpd on
# service xinetd restart

Seriously, though, you need to do a little reading and get yourself better
educated about this. Or, while you're in the process of learning get a
friend to help you or even pay someone a little to help you if you're very
short on time.

Finally, *PLEASE* trim (i.e. delete) unnecessary text from your replies.
Six copies of the list footer at the end only serve to annoy everyone and
it's not nice to send useless stuff to a couple of thousand people, OK?
