I'm going to respectfully disagree with one point, here.

He's going to want/need at least 512MB of swap.  RH 7.2 comes with a 2.4.x 
kernel which, unlike the 2.2.x kernels that needed at least 2x RAM for 
swap, need at least 4x RAM for swap.

I would probably go ahead and allocate a full 1GB for the swap, if it were 
up to me...gives me the option of being able to add 128MB more RAM later, 
without having to worry about adding more swap space.
