Don't be scared. As far as I looked into it, the djbdns will install cleanly 
and without problems. The install procedures are unbelievably easy and simple 
and seems to be very reliable.
I believe I found also a script (part of its standard install procedure) that 
verifies whether the just-compiled programs will work as they are supposed to 
work!!!

I talked about paths just because I don't like too smart installators that do 
everything not bothering me. I like to show them who rules here - so I wanted 
to force the djbdns to use locations that I CHOOSE. :-)))

Yeee.... It' seems to be veery friendy, even despite it is not rpm. Just 
unpack the tar.gz and run 'install' script. Done.
