Hi, Leonard. rpm -U reverts to -i action if it sees no prior version installed. Try 
it. And yes, your MySQL*rpm should suffice if all needed rpms are available. I only 
wanted to demonstrate that you can overcome dependency problems if you supply all 
needed rpms as arguments to rpm.
