According to the how-to (and I quote):

"sbpcd=<io-address>,<interface-type>"

Run the above at the lilo prompt (i.e. 'linux sbpcd=0x230,SoundBlaster')
without the quotes. If you can't find out the io-address, try looking at
the board's jumpers or find it in dos. If you still have dos installed, the
line should be entered already with the proper addressing in either
config.sys or autoexec.bat (can't recall which).

If you still have problems, take a look at the cdrom how-to. It doesn't
mention the specific device but, I'd be willing to bet the same technique
would work.

Once you've been able to mount it, you can link the /dev/cdrom to the
correct /dev/hd? device, add an append line to lilo.conf, run /sbin/lilo,
add the proper entry to fstab and away you go (after a reboot).
