If you make Linux partitions with Window fdisk, then they will be visable
to windows, at least untill you change the type to Linux. But I agree you
are better off using fdisk (or cfdisk) from Linux to create Linux
partitions. Re-reading what I wrote, I should have been clearer - use
Windows fdisk to creat at least one Windows partation before using Linux
fdisk to created Linux partitions. The reasion for this is that Windows
will sometime create a strange partition table. The Linux fdisk can read
the info from this, and keep the partition table readable by both
OSs. But the Windows fdisk isn't that smart, and will sometimes mess
things up if you use Linux fdisk first.
