If you think that's a better way to install a soundcard than typing
sndconfig then you go ahead.

Yes, but as I quite clearly stated in my previous mail, kudzu is far
from perfect at detecting hardware, in fact it's range is fairly
limited, so it cannot be relied upon to automate this part of the
install. 

If you find typing sndconfig *that* hard to do, then there is little
hope for you anyway ;-)
