AFAIK, there is no ETA on XFree86 4.0. You can get SuSE's X server for
standard, 2d, applications now (support may be incorporated into the
XFree86 released with Red Hat 6.1, but I can't test that). You can also
check http://glx.on.openprojects.net for the status of a GL driver that
they are developing for XFree86 > 3.3.3. It can be built as an X
module.
