Interesting, this tells me you are trying to have lilo work with a
partition that is too big. The Linux boot partition can't be any bigger
than 1024 cylinders AND has to be within the first 1024 cylinders of
the hard disk. So, if you have the Linux boot starting at cylinder 512,
the biggest the partition can be is 512, since it has to end at 1024.
You previously gave the size of your partition, but you didn't say where
the partition was on the disk.
How about posting what you have the drive fdisk'd as, so that we can look
it over and make suggestions.
